International Coworking Day!

It’s International Coworking Day on Tuesday 9th August!

As Belper’s first and only cowork space, we at Reunion @ Hub Space are keen to highlight International Coworking Day. To celebrate, we’re running a range of group tours of the space, a social and some special testimonials from our members.

Coworking is now an integral part of the modern working mix; with 68% of UK businesses having a flexible working policy (and that stat is from 2019!) it looks like this working trend is here to stay. But what is coworking and who might be interested in it?

From the Oxford Online dictionary, Coworking is “the use of an office or other working environment by people who are self-employed or working for different employers, typically so as to share equipment, ideas, and knowledge.” and further, "the whole idea of coworking is to bring bright, creative people together and let the ideas collide".

And that’s just what inspired Directors Jo Black and Matthew Bubis’ vision for Reunion back in 2021; to create a space, and perhaps just as importantly, a community, where people could work together, build connections and even collaborate: “We were created in 2021 [as we began to emerge from the Covid-19 lockdown], and Reunion seemed the perfect name for our space, a place where we can connect and reconnect, build community, work and socialise in a fun, inspiring and creative environment that cares about being responsible and eco-conscious.”

So could Reunion @ Hub Space be for you?
Yes, if you work from home some or all of the time and you’re tired of having to tidy up the kitchen table before you can start…
Yes if you are missing that friendly and uplifting connection with others that can only come from face to face contact…
Yes if you are fed up of long, tiring (and expensive!) commutes and would prefer a short drive or even a pleasant walk to your workspace

You may even be one of the increasing numbers of workers realising, perhaps post-lockdown, that you could probably work just as effectively from home without the commute, in which case, bringing coworking into your weekly mix could definitely be worth considering.

Here at Reunion @ Hub Space we offer fresh and hi-spec office facilities, clean and comfortable communal kitchen and eating areas and plenty of free parking, all in the centre of Belper in a fantastically restored heritage building. We have a range of affordable and flexible membership plans starting from 1 day per month to full-time, which all include discounts on delicious food from our Reunion Deli and other benefits including free coffee, tea and biscuits.

What’s stopping you? Come down for a look at one of our Reunion @ Hub Space group tours next week:
