ART WORKSHOP EVENING!
After a fantastic success hosting our Art Evening last year, we are back to host another!
We are offering a choice between 2 workshops;
Negative Space Landscapes in Acrylics with Denise Cliffen
or
Acrylic Pouring Abstract Fluid Workshop with Paola
You will learn the technique through the Artists direction, demonstration, and teaching.
The workshops will last 2.5-3h, and you will take your piece, and your new knowledge and expertise, home with you!
Coffee, Tea, Champagne, and Cake will be available throughout, in our creative, nature inspired Café.
Negative Space Landscapes in Acrylics with Denise Cliffen
Discover a fresh perspective on landscape composition. In this session, participants will learn to work on black paper using a negative painting technique.
We will begin by sketching a basic scene with pastel pencils, then use short, rhythmic brushstrokes to apply acrylic paint between the lines. By focusing on the background elements first—like the sky and undergrowth—we leave the dark paper to represent the trees, creating a mosaic-style finish. To wrap up, we’ll add delicate highlights to bring depth and light to the foreground.
Denise was heat semi-finalist in Sky Landscape Artist of the Year TV programme 2022 at the Eden Project, Cornwall and has exhibited with the Royal Society of British Artists and Royal Society of Marine Artists.
Acrylic Pouring Abstract Fluid Workshop with Paola
Unleash your creativity and learn the versatile art of acrylic pouring with Kaleido Marbling Art’s Paola!
During this workshop you will learn how to create stunning abstract paintings by using innovative pouring methods and you will bring home two finished artworks.
Added bonus is the opportunity to socialise while making art together, chatting, connecting, and meeting new people.
Paints and canvases will be provided - please bring an apron if you can! Thank you.
Acrylic pouring is suitable for anybody from the age of 8, participants between the age of 8 and 13 must be supervised by a parent/legal guardian.
I look forward to making some great art with you, see you on the 10th of May!
